Hamamelis intermedia: Belongs to the witch-hazel family, genus Hamamelis, deciduous shrub, with crooked young branches, ovate leaves, the leaf width greater than the length. Flowers are red. The capsule is obovoid and woody. Flowering occurs from October to December, fruiting from September to October of the following year. Grows in mountain forests at altitudes above 1600 meters.
