During the 55th World Earth Day and the 5th Asia Pacific Geoparks Week in 2024, a total of 46 geoparks rolled out a rich array of online and offline events, sparking a nationwide upsurge in geoscience learning and environmental protection advocacy. On March 19, 2024, Sanqingshan UNESCO Global Geopark hosted the second session of the 2024 Sanqing Lecture Series. Huang Suhong, Fourth-level Researcher from Shangrao Municipal Forestry Bureau, delivered the special lecture themed Prevention and Control of Pine Wood Nematode Disease.
From May 15 to 16, 2023, the Shangrao Municipal International Biodiversity Day promotional event was co-hosted by Shangrao Municipal Bureau of Ecology and Environment and Sanqingshan Geopark Administrative Committe.
May 12, 2023 marked China’s 15th National Disaster Prevention and Reduction Day. The Sanqingshan Politics and Law Committee, together with the Bureau of Natural Resources, visited Sanqingshan School and delivered an on-campus science lecture themed Prevent Disaster Risks and Safeguard High-quality Development, focusing on geological hazard prevention.
