Meteorological Landscape Resources

Sanqing Mountain boasts extremely rich meteorological landscape resources, represented by five major wonders: sunrise, sea of clouds, Buddha's light, rime, and snow frost. The formation of these meteorological wonders is the result of long-term coupling between unique geological structures and mountain climate systems.

The main peak of Sanqing Mountain, Yujing Peak, has an elevation of 1819.9 meters, with a relative elevation difference exceeding 1000 meters. The terrain conditions of high elevation, large elevation differences, and steep slopes lay an important foundation for airflow uplift, radiative cooling, and the formation of various meteorological landscapes. At the same time, Sanqing Mountain is located in a mid-subtropical humid monsoon climate zone, exhibiting typical mountain climate characteristics: an average annual precipitation of 1857.7 millimeters, relative humidity of 82%, and an average annual temperature of 10.9°C, with summit temperatures about 8°C lower than those at the base.

The scenic area is shrouded in mist year-round, with ever-changing sea of clouds, sunrises, and other meteorological scenes complementing the strange peaks and pines, endowing Sanqing Mountain with endless fairy charm and charm.

Sea of Clouds: Warm, moist air rises and cools along steep mountains, forming large areas of stratimulus clouds among peaks and forests, creating a magnificent atmosphere;

Sunrise: Relying on the open view at high altitude, under atmospheric scattering, the morning glow and forest blend brilliantly with the peaks, creating a spectacular scene;

Buddha's Light (Broken's Spectacle): Sunlight passing through clouds and mist, diffracting and reflecting water droplets to form an atmospheric optical phenomenon, requiring a specific solar elevation angle to match the thickness of the clouds;

Rime, snow frost: In winter, temperatures can drop to -16°C. Supercool mist droplets or snowfall solidify and freeze on vegetation and rock surfaces, forming pure white, crystal-clear ice crystal deposits.
